    Healthcare applications leaders are faced with keeping up-to-date with the latest and greatest in applications management, while also dealing with the day-to-day hustle and bustle of healthcare. It is critical that you deliver excellent customer service while dealing with everything from internal software miscues to keeping up with continual upgrades. In addition, you must keep up with ever-changing healthcare regulations such as Meaningful Use and MACRA. As an applications leader, you must remain adaptable to new software and systems that can ease the burden on your care providers, while ensuring these solutions fit into your overall organization strategy.

    The 2018 AEHIA Fall Summit will be held October 31 – November 2 in San Diego, and will feature application-centric speakers and presentations that will inform you and your team of the newest software, best practices, and opportunities in healthcare applications. You will also have the opportunity to network with other applications leaders and share your experiences.     For CHIME members seeking continuing education credits, by attending the AEHIA 2018 Fall Summit, CHIME members will earn 11.5 CEU’s.

  • Registration Information – AEHIA Fall Summit

    Registration fees and payment:

    The registration fee for the Summit is standard $595.00. The registration fee includes all program materials as well as breakfasts, lunches, and receptions.

    All funds must be in US dollars. Checks should be made payable to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and mailed to 710 Avis Drive, Suite 200, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.

    Cancellation Policy

    Prepaid registrants who cancel in writing on or before October 12, 2018 will receive a full refund; cancellations received after October 12, 2018, no refunds will be issued.

    ROOM RATE: A block of rooms has been reserved at the special rate of $219.00 per night for single/double occupancy. Additional Charges include current California taxes of 12.7%

  • Keynote Speakers

    AEHIA is pleased to announce our two keynote speakers bookending a great conference, Daniel Barchi and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Barchi, a dynamic speaker renowned for the successful implantation of innovative technologies in healthcare systems, will provide the opening keynote address on Oct. 31. Sanjay Gupta, M.D., senior medical correspondent for CNN, will give the closing keynote on Nov. 2.

    Daniel previously led healthcare technology as CIO at Yale and earlier as CIO of the Carilion Health System.  He was President of the Carilion Biomedical Institute and Director of Technology for MCI WorldCom.  Daniel graduated from Annapolis, began his career as a U.S. Naval officer at sea, and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for leadership and the Southeast Asia Service Medal for Iraq operations in the Red Sea.

    Dr. Sanjay Gupta is the multiple Emmy award-winning chief medical correspondent for CNN and host of CNN’s “Vital Signs.” A practicing neurosurgeon, he regularly reports on natural disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. He has also covered a wide range of health topics – including disease outbreaks, the opioid crisis and medical marijuana – since joining CNN in 2001. He will discuss how he balances his two careers, medicine and media.
