2018 Fall Summit Planning Committee
Tanya Freeman, Chair

The AEHIA 2018 Fall Summit Planning Committee is looking forward to an exciting conference for the AEHIA membership. Our overall theme is “The Future of Healthcare.” Presentations will focus on three specific areas of healthcare information applications: consolidation, employee development and consumer-centric organizations.

The first half of our day will be provider- and foundation-led presentations on the topics of application rationalization, mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations – the role of IT, and staffing for the future.

The second half of our day will provide the tech industry perspective on “The Future of Healthcare,” with a focus on consumer-centric organizations and innovation. Amazon, Apple and Microsoft will each present their perspective on driving innovation and change in healthcare. The afternoon will culminate with the three tech companies participating in a moderated panel discussion.  We look forward to a lively session that engages the AEHIA membership in the discussion.

Special thanks to our creative, hard-working committee members who are developing the agenda and securing speaker commitments.

AEHIA Awards Committee

The AEHIA Awards Committee has worked hard to define what excellence in applications leadership looks like, and has landed on three major award categories that represent excellence in healthcare information applications.

Starting from scratch, the committee has worked aggressively to define the awards program. Members can nominate themselves or others for the Leadership in Action Award, Innovator of the Year Award, and the Application Team Excellence Award. Nominations require specific criteria, to be announced when submissions open in July. Winners will be announced prior to the Fall Summit and will be recognized and receive a commemorative plaque during the event.
